PRIIPs

Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs) is a EU Regulation aimed at providing investors with key facts and figures about i.a. insurance investment products through standardized documents. Manufacturers such as insurance companies are required to prepare a KID (Key Information Document) for each product defined as PRIIP.

The KID is provided by distributors to clients within the pre-contractual documentation, pursuing the goal of enhancing investor protection and increasing transparency, particularly with respect to sales and distribution.
